I fell in love with her whilst visiting her breeder, Elizabeth Degerdon in the U.K. early 1984. An experience that has changed the direction of my life for ever.
Angel was put to Grangemoor Bwana ( Imp U.K.) 3 times.
The 2 Grangemoor imports left the great legacy of their illustrious forebears well stamped on all their progeny. I am humbled by Hunzeal's fabulous beginning.
The two not so outstanding Grangemoor imports blended beautifully! I don't think even I understood the full significance of type, quality and soundness of this match back then...English Champion Copenore Rab and his cousin Eng. Ch. Dare Devil of Hollesly along with Eng Ch. Jakote Lady Glencora from the UK side and American Champions Deer Run Jonathan, Deer Run Gelda, and Deer Run Wycliff from the USA definitely made their mark.

He was also a descendant of English Champion Copenore Rab & went back to Grangemoor.
He was mated to Ch Hunzeal Fantasia. This breeding has produced 6/8 Champions and is behind most present Hunzeal dogs

As stated under 'show results' Hagan was awarded CC dog at just 8 months of age flanking his CC Bitch & BOB winning dam, Ch Hunzeal Fantasia. He beat all adult dogs including champions on the day in Sydney as well as on the Gold Coast a few weeks later.
The judge, no other than the highly acclaimed and world wide respected breed specialist, International judge, herself a breeder extraordinaire of 66 US Champions, Mrs. Eve Olsen Fisher of the USA.
She summed up Hagan as ..." This dog has the flair and grandeur for competition anywhere..." Tragically a brilliant show career was prematurely ended at 2 yrs of age due to a severe cruciate rupture. A dog that was such a wonderful representative of the breed in type and true Mastiff temperament was out of the show ring forever.
On a positive note, Hagan's progeny and their descendants still strut their stuff in show rings Australia wide today. His legacy lives on in most Hunzeal dogs. Hagan's most successful show winning litter was the Breton Belgaes superbly handled by Ann Briglia, now a Mastiff judge herself. Hagan was truly Mastiff of great grandeur and good nature!

Champion Hunzeal Imperial Izaak had lovely placid temperament, an impressive size, great length of body, beautiful angulation and a magnificent forechest. He was a true Mastiff Champion that dominated the show scene in New South Wales as well as Queensland winning numerous Royal Shows along with most shows enetered.
In 1994 he was Best in Show at the MCOV's Open Show, as well as ResCC and Junior in Show at the MCOV Inaugural Champ Show at the age of 14 months.
Izaak was also awarded Best in Group, Best Champion in Show, Best Movement, Best Sire and Progeny and Best Interstate Exhibit during his show career spanning some 5 years.
Champion Izaak sired numerous champion progenies, including Runner Up Best Opposite Sex Mastiff of the Year 1998 as well as several In Group and In Show winners.
In addition to this, his progenies also found their way in VISPAT (Visiting Pets as Therapy) and Obedience circles with great success. Two of his siblings reached almost 14 years of age.
Izaak's pictures appear in the "Who is Who of Australian Dog World" 1995, "The National Dog", "Oz Dog", "Dog Showbiz", and various other publications.
Planned breeding from Izaak is expected early to mid 2012.

Royal Brisbane 2010 Hunzeal Lady Krisztina ( A.I) attained Puppy Of Breed to her CC Bitch & BOB winning Dam & Res CC winning Grand-dam & Ru BOB winning uncle!
Her 1/2 brother Hunzeal Lord Harrison ( AI) has made an initial successful show debut as a puppy then due to injury has not been shown. He is developing into a fine Mastiff of type and stature.

Montana was a dual Royal Sydney winner with her brother attaining RuBOB. She also gained several In Group Awards...she is Ch Hunzeal Whit Be Zeena's dam.
She is also litter sister to the sadly short lived, ill fated Ch Hunzeal Winona Whitbey.

A beautifully balanced typey, sound, well moving Mastiff bitch of calibre that's not easy to find these days. A true Mastiff in both body and temperament!
Best Of Breed Melbourne Royal 2007 also BOB Royal Brisbane 2008 at the "tender" age of 6. RU BOB Royal Toowoomba 2009 to her daughter.
Res CC Bitch Royal Brisbane 2010, at 2 weeks shy off 8 years of age! ( to her BOB winning daughter & RUBOB winning son)
Champion Zeena does it again at the Royal Brisbane in 2011! Res CC bitch at the age of 9 days shy off 9 years ! At such an advanced age again, as in 2010 to her CC & BOB winning daughter & to her RuBOB winning son at the same Royal Zeena scoops a Res CC Bitch award) Surely this award must be a world wide ONE OFF!
9 year old Mastiff Bitches DON'T generally compete in mainstream Championship competition! Veteran's class starts at 7 years of age.
Zeena attained CC Bitch at the Association Of All Mastiff Breeds Victoria Championship Show BOTH 2007 and 2008 with her daughter scooping BOTH Res CC's at these shows . ( Oz's Mastiff stronghold)
Having only been shown very sparingly these past few years Zeena was awarded every time she was exhibited with several group awards. A TRUE Mastiff, a SUPERB companion!
Her 1/2 brother Ch Manseutus Axiology is the only other Mastiff being exhibited in Victoria successfully at such an advanced age. ( he is her 'junior' by 7 months)

Maverik is a well moving dog of substance and excellent lineage. Due to my work related injuries he is very seldom shown, hence not titled. He was the CC Dog and RuBOB winner of the Royal Brisbane 2010 next to his BOB winning litter sister Hunzeal Hit and Run (Zorika) and Res CC Bitch winning dam (at the age of eight,) Ch Hunzeal Whit Be Zeena and Puppy of Breed niece Hunzeal Lady Krisztina ( A.I.).
He has also attained several BOBs when he was briefly shown on the Melbourne show circuit.)
Results of the previous year have been repeated at the Royal Brisbane 2011 with Maverik again winning CC dog and RuBOB beating Australia's only Grand Champion, Show winning Mastiff dog on the show circuit. His sister and dam scooped upthe same awards as in 2010.
